Summer months 2010. Canal Junction, A12 A11 roundabout, north side entrance.

Vegetables and salads are growing in the beds alongside the canal towpath. Areas of overgrown, unkempt borders, trimmed twice (maybe?) a year by the council have been cleared and harboured for diy harvesting. Soil turned, fertilised and maneoured, utilising **** .  Early Sunday morning I found five people reaping their reward, bike trolleys full of runner beans, wild rocket, parsley, *** tubs of raspberries from bushes hanging heavy over the path.

Clever thinking.

[Utilise canal ‘dead spots’? Unused waterways full of floating gardens with instant irrigation.]
